Puppies - The Basics

Start off life with your new puppy in the best way possible!

Individual Training

There are many little behaviours our dogs display that take them from being perfect to...so, so close! I see so many people being dragged along the street on the end of a lead, or endlessly calling a dot in the distance and being ignored.

These are just two of the most common training issues that we can help you & your dog with on a one-to-one basis.

Step-by-step, we can work through the problem to find the correct solution for you and your dog!

Behavioural Issues

Is your dog the best dog in the world? (Probably - aren't they all!?). Until...there's another dog around, or they have food, or they're left on their own for too long, or...

There are a multitude of behaviours that can become problematic if not dealt with properly, and we're here to help with any of these that you may need.

Working closely together, we'll discover the true root and cause of the behaviour, then work to help you and your dog know what to do, when to do it & why to do it!

Group Classes - £120 for six sessions

Puppy or Rescue planning?

If you are thinking of adding a dog into your life but are unsure what breed, if any, to go for, or what you may need to do to make sure your home, and the people in it, are puppy-ready, then we are here to give you all the advice and guidance that you need to make the right decision.

We can help you make the right choice for you and your family. Getting a puppy, or rescue, is great, but getting the right puppy or rescue is greater still!

I'm Mark. I set up SwatDogs because I believe that owning a dog is the simplest and greatest pleasure you can have in life, and I want to help people make the most out of their relationships with their canine friends!.

At SwatDogs, we believe in using training methods rooted in science.

We believe that to get the best out of your dog, means to understand your dog.

With these ideas always at the forefront of our mind, we only ever use reward-based training methods to help you get the best out of your relationship with your dog.

I am a force-free dog trainer, and as such I never use punishment, and am always prepared to learn and adjust in order to get the results you want and that your dog deserves.

For both learning basic training skills, and for more complicated behavioural cases we only ever used science-backed, punishment-free, reward-based methods designed to help you and your dog learn, have fun, and achieve your goals.

SwatDogs has the dog at the heart of everything that we do.

Our training methods are aligned with those promoted and developed by the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT), an organisation with whom we are working towards our membership.
